The “Industry 4.0” panel at the 4GameChanger event discussed how Europe in general and Austria in particular can keep up with technological development. The industry is changing rapidly as Germany, Austria and Switzerland, along with numerous other world market leaders in the industrial middle class, find themselves in serious competition with the current leaders in digitization - the USA and China. Panelists included Georg Kapsch, President of the Federation of Austrian Industries, and Sabine Herlitschka, CEO of Infineon Technologies Austria. One problem is that existing solutions supporting digitization and innovation are primarily tailored to large corporations and not medium-sized enterprises.

Now, the startup Senseforce has been awarded the Austrian National Award of the Born Global Champions for outstanding services to the Austrian economy. It is exactly this software that offers the application possibilities that small and medium-sized enterprises need for their digital strategies. Mechanical engineers can plan and implement their own transition to digitization without programming knowledge. The software’s plug-and-play design allows efficient use and flexible integration with existing systems.
